Swag Bars
adapted from MyRecipes.com aka Cooking Light
1 3/4 cups creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup light-colored corn syrup (I used the reduced sugar version)
1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) chopped lightly salted, dry-roasted peanuts (I used half unsalted peanuts to cut down on the salt)
3 1/2 cups (4 ounces) whole-grain flaked cereal (such as Total), finely crushed
Cooking spray (nonstick foil worked great)
1/3 cup (2 ounces) chopped dark chocolate
1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook 4 minutes or just until mixture begins to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in peanuts and cereal. Spread mixture evenly into a 13 x 9–inch baking pan coated with cooking spray or the nonstick foil.
2. Place the dark chocolate in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH 1 minute or until chocolate melts, stirring every 20 seconds. Drizzle chocolate evenly over peanut mixture. Score into 36 bars while warm.

OH YUM!!!!! These look perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed them. Yeah, I have been known to be a baking feind....however not so much lately. I would like to be though. I just can't keep my fingers out of it so I have to force myself to not make to much!
yum. made these today with natural peanut butter, brown sugar and salted pecans. Also, I used bran flakes as my cereal. LOL! They were almost healthy!
These were delicious. Used an 8x8" pan only because I didn't have a 9x13" handy. They were very rich and tasty. Thanks for a great recipe to use up all that extra cereal. :)
